Who Qualifies for the RDSP?
To qualify for the RDSP you must be eligible for the DTC and be under the age of 59. To be eligible for any government contributions, the beneficiary must be under the age of 50 and meet the following requirements:
- be a Canadian citizen;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number;
- have filed tax returns for the last 2 years;
- be under the age of 60;
- be qualified for the Disability Tax Credit.
